Eye on the Prize
It seems like we can't go one day without colleges getting a front-page feature and lately most articles haven't been about programs, student life, or even infamous college debt. Today, the New York Times features a story directly from students on how some colleges are really handling the coronavirus. While this is important information, as mentors we need to make sure that these stories don't pull students away from investigating the programs and campus life that they are seeking for their college life.
At College Mode Consulting, our juniors are busy researching their colleges with us. Our step-by-step guidance helps them identify the variables that are important to them and helps them steer away from choosing a school based on some outside influence.
Has your son or daughter started their test prep? Do they have a college list based on their own values and interests? Have they started to investigate specific programs more deeply? Do they understand what they want out of their college life, and have they put themselves in good stead to make the most of high school? If you think you could use some help contact Lynn and Sharon to set up a free consultation to see if College Mode is right for you.
